Just a quick post to let peole know I haven’t completely dropped off the face of the planet.
School has been keeping me crazy busy–I have 5 papers to turn in today and an oral final, so there has been absolutely no crafting occuring for the past few weeks.
Never fear, though, I will return full force now that classes are over. I still have 2 finals and an article left to do, but they’re spaced out enough that I should still have some actual free time.
In the meantime–I’m going to be heading to Maryland Sheep and Wool on Saturday, I think. Hopefully I’ll meet a bunch of other cool knitbloggers there!
I’ve decided, if it’s not prohibitively expensive, to purchase a drop spindle so I can learn to spin. I actually own an antique spinning wheel, but it is still in North Carolina and in drastic need of repair, so I think I’m going to take the drop spindle route for now. I really don’t have space in my apartment for a wheel.
I’m also learning to sew and quilt. My first planned sewing projects include a cute sundress in purple polka dotted material and some nice, button down shirts for warm weather. The kind I can wear to work, in the even that I get a job. (Yeah, the job hunts going fabulous, why do you ask?
)
I’m probably going to create another blog or two this summer–non-crafting blogs. A writing blog, to track progress on my screenwriting endeavors and possibly a socio-political blog as well.
I can’t think of anything else to add to this post right now, and I have to go make sure I have all the things I need to turn in so that I don’t fail.
Oh, and write the oral presentation on Lazio that I have to give at four this afternoon (Lazio e un regione d’Italia is pretty much all I’ve got right now).
Ciao!
