Gauge is Good

Or, how to waste several weeks of your life.

I’ve been knitting along on Icarus, being remarkably focused for once.

I noticed it seemed awfully big, but I ignored it.

Then today, as I was starting Chart #2, I realized I couldn’t ignore the largeness of the shawl any longer.

My row gauge? Is off.

BY 10 ROWS!

Pre-blocking.

*headdesk*

I put it aside for the moment but I think I’m going to rip it out. I hate to do it, but I don’t need the monster shawl, either.

My next plan is to come up with a design of my own, some sort of stole thing. Maybe that will work out…

    Uhhh…gauge doesn’t so much matter with lace. You could keep with it and just block it into what you want, if you like it.
