Spring Lace

As it turns out, I am incapable of not starting new projects. I was feeling pretty down last week, and I wanted to knit something bright and cheerful (and portable).

So I cast on for the Lace Ribbon Scarf from the latest Knitty.

I’m using Classic Elite Aplaca Sox in Hot Pink, and I LOVE this colorway. It’s so bright and cheerful, and perfect for spring.

The yarn is amazingly soft too–I’m already hoping I can eek a respectable length scarf out of one skein, and then use the other for actual socks. I’d never want to take them off–this yarn is definitely one I’m going to want to use again (and again and again and…).

    Beautiful! That pattern was one of the few in the most recent Knitty that I might be interested in making. Looks like it’s quick, too.

    I definitely want to make this pattern too, especially after seeing how lovely yours is coming out.
