I’m on a few groups on Ravelry, and have begun tossing around the idea of a KAL based on the Wheel of the Year.

Obviously, this has a pretty heavy pagan/Wiccan/witch slant to it, but I think it has broader appeal. Knitting is at it’s core a very practical art, and surely the seasons influence our choice in projects. If only because who wants to have a heavy afghan-in-progress draped over their lap in 80 degree weather?

It would be a crafter’s choice type KAL, so you could pick whatever you wanted to work on, but where people could exchange ideas about things to make and encourage each other along. It’s still in the germinating stages right now, but I’m hoping that I’m not the only one who thinks this is a good idea!
